Moes - BL-Deutz Engined

This Belgian built locomotive originally worked in a brickworks in Rumpst, Belgium from new. It is believed it was built in 1955 however the makers build number is currently unknown. It is powered by an air-cooled Deutz twin cylinder diesel, which is a modification from the standard Moes Type BL locomotive. This modification was specifically requested by the brickworks.

This locomotive arrived at the Old Kiln Light Railway in January 2015 and was restored to operational condition by the Statfold Barn Railway. It is somewhat underpowered for use on passenger trains, often seeing use on shunting duties instead.
